Specialist Mentoring and Support Services, Taylored Mentoring

TMS+ is an environment that allows young people to feel comfortable in a setting where TMS mentors can facilitate any work they need to complete. The TMS+ unit, based in Hucclecote, has access to various quiet rooms, each with a different theme. In here, the young people can work with TMS mentors to create and express themselves with our interactive whiteboards, science equipment, arts and crafts, bean bags, board games as well as a quiet space we call "The Zen Den". Not only do we have the facility to work with young people in education, we also work closely with individuals who have SEMH needs. Having numerous different premises at our disposal allows us to ensure that the individual is placed within the correct environment to help them thrive and succeed.

Working with young people means no two days are the same as no two young people are the same. It's so rewarding getting to know each of them, building trusting relationships where they feel safe and comfortable to be themselves! I enjoy spending time at the horse yard, riding through the countryside, travelling with my family and trying new food! Also, Rugby!

The Terrapin · Eastington, Stroud

A secluded unit on the outskirts of Eastington, with access to a playing field and play park. Incorporating a workspace and kitchen facility, with a small back room for those who need 1:1 support.

Insley Gardens · Hucclecote, Gloucester

A bespoke unit encompassing four individual offices and a social meeting area.

Kingsholm Unit · Kingsholm, Gloucester

Based in the centre of Gloucester, the office has kitchen facilities alongside an open plan workspace. Less than a 5 minute walk to Gloucester Town centre, as well as Plock Court Playing Fields. Additionally TMS have a smaller secluded unit in Kingsholm for those who need a 1:1 comfy space.

The Old Chapel · Churchdown, Gloucester

Recently acquired by TMS, boasting a downstairs kitchen facilities and entertainment room with an upstairs open plan workspace. Surrounding areas include Churchdown Skate Park, Chosen Hill and Staverton Airport walkways.

Visits have been regular and consistently in accordance with the needs of the LA/family. The diary sheets are detailed, accurate and provided in a timely way. Working with Lou and Bev, changed my life, in fact it saved my life. At first I was stubborn, worried and scared to let them in my home, but they earnt my trust and most importantly my children's. Our son had a positive experience with Larry and Colin as he was finishing school and, when he hit a particularly difficult time in young adulthood, he was keen to re-establish contact with them. Now his weekly sessions are really important to him, and to us as parents. As someone who finds making friends and trusting others very hard, he benefits from the regular, safe and enjoyable contact that they provide. They go above and beyond what we would have expected and he knows they care about him. As well as taking him out, they have supported him with doctor's appointments and meetings with his social worker. He allows them to touch on some difficult subjects and give him advice. We have very much appreciated their reliability and excellent communication.
